Tim is a self-taught artist who began painting from a flat in India—where he lived and worked for almost a decade. His interests include ''all things art,'' his family, tennis, and spirituality. Tim decided to forgo a traditional art education because he wanted to be a working artist. He studies privately with Jonathan Hardesty and workshops with other top artists.



With his paintings, Tim interprets local landscapes in fresh ways. Spending much time hiking around and sketching his subjects, Tim works to highlight the unfolding ''visual poetry'' that strikes him the most. Tim believes there's an immeasurable amount of variety and harmony in the creation to be observed, captured, and celebrated.



Tim grew up in Texas and resides in Salt Lake City. As a kid, Tim first fell in love with the mountains on ski trips to Colorado. He spent his summers working and living in Summit and Vail counties in college. Tim looks back to this time as one of the most formative times in his life, shaping who he is today. Tim is excited to be back in Colorado, hiking, sketching, and painting with his kids.
